Junior High events for October

Wednesday, Oct. 20: Jr. high youth are invited to attend “5th Quarter” here at TLC following the varsity football game. Once you arrive, the building will be locked so you will not be able to return if you decide to leave early. We will have some pizza and activities going on, so bring a friend and have a blast! Please bring $3.00 for food, otherwise it is a free event! Let your parents know that they need to pick you up @ TLC by midnight.

Monday, Oct. 11: It is time once again to REVEAL to you where our jr. high mission trips will take place in the summer of 2011. We will meet in the AV Room @ 6:30 p.m. to find out all the details regarding our two trips. Please contact Mike Odegaard if you have any questions.

Monday, Oct. 18: 6th graders pizza & bowling event! You lucky ducks get an extra day off on October 18, so why not spend it eating pizza at Pizza Ranch and bowling at Southpark Lanes? Plan on meeting here at Trinity around 11:15 a.m.; we will be back no later than 3:30 p.m. Please bring $15.00 to cover food & bowling. You are welcome to bring extra spending $$$. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Mike Odegaard.

Friday, Oct. 22: You’re invited to participate in a morning of service and an afternoon of FUN!!! TLC’s youth ministry has an “Adopt-a-Highway” stretch down on Hwy. 30 & we need to clean it up (we’ll provide garbage bags and safety vests). Once we’ve cleaned up, we’ll head into Austin for some lunch. After we fill our bellies, the FUN will take place at SPLATT Paintball Field. Spots are limited so hurry and sign up ASAP!!! This event will begin @ 9:00 a.m. & we will return @ 6:00 p.m. Both jr. high and sr. high youth are invited and the cost is only $35.00 ($30.00 if you have your own stuff). The cost covers lunch, gun & air, 200 paintballs, protective equipment, admission, and travel. If you think you will need extra paintballs or snacks, you will need some extra spending money too. Remember to wear your camouflage (and extra layers if it’s cold). Please feel free to contact Mike Odegaard if you have any questions.

Sunday, Oct. 24: This is an important day because it marks the opening of summer mission trip registrations. Our registration will be open from October 24 until January 1. Registration forms will be located on the bulletin board by Kris Oppegard’s office. Please contact Mike Odegaard if you have any questions.

Wednesday, Oct. 27: “BOO! for Food” is an event where you can dress up in your favorite costume and join other youth (from other churches in Owatonna) go door-to-door collecting food for the Steele County Food Shelf. Plan to meet in the lounge @ 7:00 p.m. We will spread throughout the community to collect food and meet up with the other churches in the parking lot of the Steele County Food Shelf. The festivities will conclude @ 9:00 p.m. There will be more publicity sent out prior to the event so keep your eyes open. Parents are needed to provide supervision & transportation. Please feel free to contact Mike Odegaard if you have any questions or can volunteer.

Friday, Oct. 29: Trick or Treating @ TLC is here again!!! Bring your family and join us for some fun & fellowship from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m.

November 5-7: This junior high mini mission trip to Minneapolis is an annual service trip. Look for all the details to arrive in your mailbox in October.

Sunday, Nov. 7: Meals of Hope Team # 5 (jr. & sr. high youth) has switched to this day due to confirmation services. Please contact Mike Odegaard if you’re able to help serve.
